I am a born and raised Pendletonian elected to the Pendleton City Council for the first time in spring of 2014, at the age of 23. In 2022, I was elected to my third term as councilor representing Ward 2. Currently I serve as the City Council President, entering my sixth year, and am the first female to serve in that capacity. Additional commissions and boards on which I sit include: the Airport Commission, Development Commission, Library Board, and Budget Committee. I currently represent Eastern Oregon as a member of the League of Oregon Cities Board of Directors.

My commitments also include a full-time job with the InterMountain Education Service District as the Oregon Trail REN Grant Coordinator, volunteering in the community, and being a mother to a young child. I hold a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Portland, a masters in teaching from Eastern Oregon University, and most recently a principal license from Lewis and Clark College.

Approaching the responsibilities of city government, I bring a distinct perspective shaped by multiple roles – being a woman, a full-time working professional, a mother to a lively toddler, and a property owner in the downtown core with my husband. With a profound understanding of the value of time, I am driven to invest it purposefully in actions that contribute to the betterment of Pendleton. Family holds immense importance in my life, and the unique lens I possess stems from having four generations of my family currently living in this community. This perspective underscores my commitment to initiatives that not only make an immediate difference but also lay the groundwork for Pendleton to evolve into an even more cohesive and enriched community over time.

Rooted in tradition and equipped with experience, I am ready to turn vision into reality and serve my community as Pendleton’s next Mayor.
